Our Services
GEVS offers a wide range of services in an ambulatory setting. Please contact us if you have specific service inquiries!
-
GEVS offers thorough soundness and lameness evaluations, including flexion tests, nerve blocks, and joint blocks. Diagnostic tools such as digital radiography (X-rays) and ultrasound help guide treatment plans. GEVS is able to provide a variety of treatment options including joint injections, pro stride and PRP treatment, rehabilitation plans and medications. We collaborate closely with local farriers and referral centers if advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, nuclear scintigraphy (bone scans) or surgical treatment are required.
-
We provide ambulatory emergency care for equine patients. Please note that some emergencies may require hospitalization, in which case we can refer you to a local equine hospital.
In the event of an emergency, please CALL.
Text messages and emails are not monitored regularly outside of business hours. -
Dental care includes thorough oral exams, power floats (routine and corrective), simple extractions (including wolf teeth), and dental radiographs.
Note: On-farm dental care requires a clean, dry area with power and overhead shelter. If your location doesn’t meet these needs, we can arrange haul-in services. -
Routine care includes vaccinations, fecal egg counts, deworming, microchipping, Coggins testing, and health certificates. GEVS is available for individual or whole barn wellness needs.
-
GEVS is able to diagnose and manage a wide variety of medical issues including but not limited to: infectious, allergic, respiratory, neurological, endocrine, neonate (foal), geriatric and gastrointestinal issues.
-
On-farm surgical procedures include castrations, laceration repairs, and mass removals.
-
Mobile digital X-ray and ultrasound imaging is available for on-farm diagnostics.
Please note: In colder or wet weather, equipment must be kept warm and dry to function properly. Haul-in services can be arranged during these times. -
We provide detailed pre-purchase exams, including full physical exams, soundness evaluations, and flexion tests. Additional diagnostics—X-rays, ultrasound, blood work, drug testing, etc.—can be included depending on your needs and goals. A full report is provided after the exam.
